Melissa Ann Heck Gilbert, 44, of Middlesboro, passed away Sunday, March 23, at the Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
She was born July 15, 1969 in Middlesboro, KY the daughter of the late Jerry Wayne Heck and Joanne Brimm Heck who survives.
She was a member of the Richardson's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Lloyd and Doris Heck and Buster Brimm, Special Aunts: Darlene Warwick, Lucy Gent, Joyce Heck and Sandra Brimm, Uncle: Dee Brimm and Special Cousins: Jonathan Lane and Belinda Gail Heck. She is survived by the following members of her family:
Her loving Mother: Joanne Heck-Grandmother: Geneva Brimm
Loving Companion: Bill Hunley and his daughter: Brooke
A daughter: Amber Gilbert
Son and Daughter-in-law: David and Michelle Gilbert
Brother: Vance (Diane) Heck
The loves of her life, her Grandchildren: Josiah Gilbert and Cheyanne Gilbert.

Special nieces Caylan and Jayden Heck, special nephew Dakota Heck, and a host of Aunts, Uncle and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27 at the Richardson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ferlion Daniels and Rev. Michael Bradly presiding. Music will be provided by Opal Inman and The Heck Family. Interment will be the Heck Cemetery in Rose Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be David Gilbert, Bill Hunley, Dakota Heck, Tim Gent, Terry Heck, Spud Heck, Paul Heck and Jeremy Heck. Honorary pallbearers will be her remaining cousins.

The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. at the Richardson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
