Funeral services were held in Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church April 3 for Carl Schilling, former resident of the Wessington area. He died March 31 at the Veteran's Hospital, Hot Springs, where he had been a patient since March, 1958. The Rev. Philip Mueller officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Huron.
Schilling was born July 20, 1894 at Dodge, Nebr. He married Frieda Ranft at Miller January 22, 1920. They farmed in the Wessington area until retiring in 1937 when they moved to Huron.
Survivors include one son, Edward, Wolsey; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Snyder, Pierre and Mrs. William Scribner, Nebr., and two brothers, August, Rapid City and Fred, Moscow, Idaho.
