Marlow - CHARLES WESLEY "CHARLIE" CORMANY JR., 56, of Marlow, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, in Marlow.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lakeside Baptist Church with the Rev. Lawrence Grisham officiating. Burial will be in Alma Cemetery under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home of Marlow.
Charlie was born March 21, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Charles Wesley Sr. and Jo Ann McClain Cormany. He attended school in Duncan. He had lived in the Marlow-Bray area for 15 years. Charlie married Mary Lou Smith on Dec. 29, 1989, in Wichita Falls.
He was owner and operator of Charlie's Tack and Feed and was a very talented leather craftsman of saddles and tack. He also worked in the oil field and was a ranch hand, welder and carpenter. He enjoyed socializing with his friends, going to rodeos and trail riding. Charlie also enjoyed hunting, fishing, car racing and building race cars.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Smith Cormany of the home; a son Heath Cormany and wife LaQuita of Duncan; a grandchild, Heylee Cormany of Duncan; his mother, Jo Ann Woodrome of Duncan; two brothers, Bobby Woodrome of Duncan, and Kenneth Woodrome and wife Shelly of Marlow; and several other relatives and friends.
Bearers will be Bruce Cunningham, Dee Bowen, Harry Linam, Lyndle Byford, Taos Robinson and Wayne Barker.
