He retired in 1955 from Central Freight Co as a driver and motor builder. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of North Waco Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Myrtle Buice of Waco; daughters, Mrs. Marvin Haralson SR of China Spring TX and Mrs. Glenn Jenson of Carrollton TX; sons, Alton P. Buice JR of Waco, Billy J. Buice of Dallas TX and Donald R. Buice of Oklahoma City OK; sisters, Mrs. Lula Oliver of Carrollton TX, Mrs. Ruby Oswald of McGregor TX, and Mrs. Mamie Hunt of Killeen TX; brother, Hugh Buice of Dallas TX, 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
