BREECH, Blanche

Age 101, passed away November 30 in Sacramento.

Born in Tecumseh, OK, she was one of seven siblings, of whom only Mrs. Frankie Aguaire survives.

Mrs. Breech was the first woman to earn an advanced degree in Vocational Education at the University of California, Berkeley.

She was in charge of the Department of Cosmetology at Sacramento City College for most of the 25 years she worked there, and also served on the State Board of Examiners.

Her loving husband, Mr. E. A. Breech; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Smith and Mrs. Marilyn Joyce Boyes; and two sons-in-law, Mr. J. A. G. Smith and Col. Peter E. Boyes, preceded her in death.

One grand-daughter, Mrs. Melissa Hammonds, also predeceased Mrs. Breech.

She leaves six grandchildren, Jan Bloyd, Jeff Boyes, Sunny Smith, Victoria Smith, Brian Boyes, & Michelle DuJordan, ten great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, December 17 at the Land Park Chapel of Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Cancer Society or the Institute of the Mind at the University of California, Davis.
