Mrs. Christensen was born Betty J. Shoopman on February 22, 1942, at Scotts Bluff, NE. She was the co-owner and operator of the Silver Bullet Tavern.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell in 1976.
Survivors include her husband, Jack D., of the home; two sons, Ron and Mike, both of Grand Island, NE; six daughters, Scarlett of Salina, Charlotte Houck of Edmond, OK, Sherry Elvington of The Colony, TX, Rhonda Bouchard of Henderson, NE, Kathy Snider of Anniston, AL, and Julie Musquiz of Wood River, NE; a brother, Larry Shoopman of Keystone, NE; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. A private inurnment will be in the Prairie Mound Cemetery, Solomon.
