Helen L. McGoogan passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Timberlane Health and Rehab after a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 22, 1930, the daughter of Will and Mary Cleo Cameron. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. Her work history included Don's Linen Service, cafeteria worker at Murmil Heights School and K-Mart, where she made many friends. She was a member of Marrable Hill Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, F.H. McGoogan; sisters, Jean Fautheree, Catherine Rogers and Ruby Ferguson; and brothers Robert Cameron and Howard Cameron.

Survivors include R.H. and MaryJo McGoogan, Danny and Barbara McGoogan, Jenifer McGoogan and Adam McGoogan; and many nieces and nephews and special friends, Jean Murphy and Jerry Sandifer.

There will be no formal visitation. A private burial will be held under the direction of Perry's Funeral Chapels.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice or Marrable Hill Chapel.
