Arthur worked at various places in Oklahoma City as a young man: Ford Motor Company, Wilson and Company, Iten Biscuit Company, and Claude Frazier Water Well Drilling Company.
He married Lettie Ann Hollcroft on December 17, 1908. They had seven children, five boys and two girls.
Around 1930 Arthur and Lettie bought a farm in the Pauls Valley, OK, area near the settlement of Seven Shooter.
In addition to farming, Arthur put the knowledge he gained from working at Claude Frazier Water Well Drilling Company to good use drilling water wells as a business for himself around the Pauls Valley area.
He died of Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia in 1957 at the Oklahoma Medical Research Hospital in Oklahoma City.
