HAMDEN — Ronald Lee Maxwell, 62, of Hamden, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born Dec. 17, 1951 in Gallipolis, son of the late Omar and Ruby Wells Maxwell. Ronald was married for 43 years to Grace Bates Maxwell, who survives.

He is survived by his sons, Ronnie Maxwell of Hamden, Steve (Jessica) Maxwell of Hamden and Scott (Tina Perry) Maxwell of Wellston; daughters, Tina (Mike) Scarrett of Wellston, Shelia (Mitchell) Slagle of Washington and Sonya (Richard) Wyant of Jackson; 12 grandchildren and a sister, Carol (Jerry) Leedy of Athens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Maxwell.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Roy Truman officiating. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Clinton Township, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
