Ricky Joe Hamilton

Ricky Joe Hamilton, 55, of Troup went to be with the Lord on Feb. 23, 2014.

He was born Oct. 21,1958 in Jacksonville, TX to Billy Joe Hamilton and Ruby Bolton Hamilton. He attended school at Carlisle.

As an adult Ricky was a truck driver and worked tirelessly on his dad and grandfathers farm. Ricky was a dedicated hard-worker and took great pride in his work.

The one accomplishment he was most proud of, was the greatest love of his life, his daughter. Ricky loved his Church and church family. Throughout all of his struggles, he kept his sense of humor and love of life. Ricky loved to laugh and enjoyed the company of his family and friends.

Ricky was thankful for his dedicated family who loved and cared for him. He was especially thankful for his mother, Ruby, who devoted her life to being at his side throughout all of his life challenges.

Ricky was preceded in death by his Grandparents, John and Estelle Hamilton and Lee and Essie Bolton.

He is survived by his parents, his daughter and her husband, two sisters and their husbands, three grandchildren, two nephews, two great-nephews, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Pallbearers Brandon Howell, Brady Phillips, Randy McCoy, Bradley Bolton, Bubba Tomlin and Brent Sellers. Honorary Pallbearers Anthony Martin, Wes Barron, Mike Davis and Duane Gibbs.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Henry's Chapel United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Brother James Stroud and Brother Merle Klink officiating. Interment will be at the Concord Cemetery.
