Lila L. Royal, 92, of De Kalb, Illinois and former resident of Hollister, Califoornia, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Oakcrest Retirement Center in De Kalb, Illinois. She was born February 24, 1922 in Canada, the daughter of Charles and Anne Schultz. She was married to Thomas E. "Ted" Royal.
Lila loved to play cards and was a master bridge champion. She continued winning tournaments up until three weeks before her death.
Survivors include her three children, Larry Royal, Judy (Jeff) White and Lori Owen; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and five siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2000 and five siblings.
Her funeral service will be private and burial will take place next to her husband at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
