Leslie Bernard Grant, Sr is my uncle. He loved his family completely, and often told Aunt Martha that she was so precious to him. Aunt Martha took very good care of Uncle Leslie. They were married for 60 years. Uncle Leslie was a funny man who loved to get on topics and debate with whoever he was talking to. My daughters thought of him as another grandpa. He is greatly missed and loved.

"Taps" by Rukard Hurd
(also known as “Butterfield’s Lullaby”)

Day is done, gone the sun
From the lakes, from the hills, from the sky
All is well, safely rest
God is nigh.

Fading light dims the sight
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright
From afar, drawing near
Falls the night.

Thanks and praise for our days
Neath the sun, neath the stars, neath the sky
As we go, this we know
God is nigh.
