He was born February 17, 1933 in New York City, New York to William and Hilda (Klinger) Bock Romansky.
William attended Stoneybrook High School in New York. After high school he attended 3 colleges, Springfield College,
Springfield, Massachusetts where he lettered in football and wrestling, completing his career as New England region champion in wrestling and received his bachelor degree, University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and received his master's degree and Ohio State University,
Columbus, Ohio and received his doctorate degree. William was a professor at Ball State University for 49 years serving in the Physiology and Health Science Departments. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. William was an officer in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army.
William is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Marianne (Taggart) Bock, son William Bock, III (wife-Tracy); Indianapolis, daughter Chavanne Hanson (husband-Michael); Chagrin Falls, Ohio, daughter Rebecca Stone (husband-Steven); Davidson, North Carolina, son Christian Bock; Charlotte, North Carolina, 10 grandchildren and sister Jeanne Stoll; (husband-Frederick); Longmont, Colorado.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
