There was a grand reunion in heaven on March 26, 2014, for Melba C. Caudle Martin of Fort Smith. She was born Dec. 24, 1910, in Crossroads.

She was a charter member of Fort Smith Primitive Baptist Church. She was a PBX operator at Camp Chaffee and First National Bank of Fort Smith for 17 years. She and her husband, D.B., owned Parts Exchange for 31 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Elmer and Mary Sophronia Bull Caudle; her husband, Darrell Brice Martin; her son, D.B. Martin Jr.,; her siblings, Eunice Mae, 44, (Jep) Tyler, Ethel Lillian, 89, (John) Hamilton, Virgil, 50, (Edith) Caudle, Ina Lee, 91, (Kenith) Cherry, Haskell, 17 months, Caudle, Bertha Abrigale, 91, (Orace) Holland, and Beatrice, 67, Caudle; and her nieces and nephews, Mary Elaine Cherry, Pat Tyler Johnson (Charlie) and J. Virgil Caudle (Ernestine).

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Steve Jackson and the Rev. Russ Tyler officiating. Interment will be at Union Ridge Cemetery in Dayton.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, J.B. "Bud" (Artela) Tyler of Houston, Dennis (Becky) Tyler of Springdale, Joyce Caudle Stanfill of Greenwood, Shirley Caudle (Gary) Blythe of Waldron, Rose Mary Caudle (Don) Spradling of Fort Smith, Jan Cherry Wennberg of Mena, Charles (Shirley) Holland of Arkadelphia, Jim (Dawn) Holland of Conway, Patsy Huneycutt (Harold) McKim of Donaldson, Louis H. (Violet) Huneycutt of Texas and Roy Glen Huneycutt of Little Rock; also, 47 great-nieces and great-nephews; and 18 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She is also survived by her three angelic caregivers, Tracy Goad, Glenda Rogers and Deborah Brock Williams.

Pallbearers will be Nick Tyler, Scott Tyler, Larry Stanfill, Terry Stanfill, Greg Stanfill, Steve Bunting, Daniel Foreman Jr., Shannon Holland and Wes Holland
