GREENFIELD – Ashley Nicole Burton, age 26, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in Indianapolis. She was born on April 8, 1987 in Greenfield as the daughter of Steve Burton, Darlene (Johns) Hatfield, and stepfather Ted Hatfield. She graduated from Eastern Hancock in 2005.
She is survived by her father, Steve Burton of Indianapolis, Indiana; mother, Darlene Hatfield of Greenfield; stepfather, Ted Hatfield of Greenfield; brother, Sean Hatfield; grandmothers, Yvonne Burton and Phyllis Johns; grandfather, Theodore Hatfield; aunts, Lisa Floyd, Beverly Wilson, Beth Scott, and Nancy Durham; uncles, Edward Burton, Tim Johns, and Keith Hatfield; and families; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Edgar Burton and Terry R. Johns; and grandmother, Cleo Hatfield.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation. Father Glenn O'Connor will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Seeds of Hope, 1425 S. Mickley Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46241, Greenfield-Hancock Animal Management, 809 S. State Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140, or charity of choice.
