Funeral services for Mrs. Della Mae Lewis, 69, who died at 1:30 a.m. Monday at the Madison County Nursing home, will be held from Mt. Joy Baptist church at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Virgil Gardner, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
The body may be viewed at the church from 12 noon Friday until the time of service.
A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel T. Wolford, the deceased was born in St. Louis May 15, 1888. She was married to Courtney Lewis, who survives, on Oct. 12, 1912 in St. Louis.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Courtney Lewis, Jr., of New York City; two brothers, John of Nashville, Tenn., and Daniel of Indianapolis, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson, of Edwardsville. One daughter preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lewis was a member of Mt. Joy church.
Pallbearers were John Fifer, Kelly Kinard, J. Williams, George Green, Elijah White and William Johnson.
