Rosetta J. Johnson, age 90, of Gettysburg, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Gettysburg Hospital.

Born Nov. 30, 1923 in Buchanan Valley, she was the daughter of the late George and Elnora (Kimple) McKenrick. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her husband, Ralph D. Johnson, who died in 1997.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg, Parish Council of Catholic Women, Women of the Moose and was a former Senior Regent of the Moose. Mrs. Johnson had been employed by the Gettysburg Moose and The Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village. She was an avid bowler in her younger years. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed the many years with her beloved daughters and grandchildren and was thrilled to welcome her new great grandson Connor Michael in to this world on Monday.

She is survived by her two daughters, Ann J. Newman and husband Craig of New Oxford, and Betty J. Hutchison of Gettysburg; three grandchildren, Matthew and Brian Hutchison and Katherine McMaster and husband Craig; and great grandson, Connor Michael McMaster. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, David Hutchison, and four brothers, Theodore, Gilbert, James and Joseph McKenrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. from St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 45 West High Street Gettysburg with Fr. Bernardo Pistone, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Gettysburg.
