Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, March 31, 2014 at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn McGee officiating. Burial will follow at the Duncan Cemetery.
Don was born on September 25, 1950 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Herman and Betty Barber. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1970. Don married his sweetheart Kathy Hay, on May 7, 1971.
Don was well known in our community, as the "coke man", working 30 years in Lawton as the coca-cola special event coordinator. He worked with the Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Lawton Rangers Rodeo, Lawton Coliseum and the Duncan Band, just to name a few.
He was a devoted husband of 42 years and a loving father to three daughters.
Don would greet you with a smile and a coke, if he had one. He never new a stranger. He was a friend to all.
Don Barber will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Barber; daughters and spouses: Kristi and Greg Lewis, Lisa and Andrew Towell and Sharon and Adam Isaac; nine grandchildren: Dallas Isaac, Austin Isaac, Ethan Towell, Raylee Towell, Ryan Towell, Samantha Towell, Emily Towell, Brittany Kerins and Mitchell Lewis; his parents, Herman and Betty Barber; his siblings and spouses, Cecelia Heltcel, Marilyn and Jimmie Priest and Jerry and Patsy Barber; one sister-in-law and spouse, Shirley and Leroy Hirth; and a host of nieces and nephews and a community full of friends.
