WOONSOCKET- Edith V. (Dunford) Namaka, 95, of Woonsocket, died March 27, 2014 in Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Centre. She was the wife of the late Paul Namaka.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and G. Mabel (Gainer) Dunford.
Edith worked as a stitcher for local dress shops, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Woonsocket, and the Creapeau Court Social Club, where she was a kitchen volunteer.
She is survived by three daughters, JoAnn Sugden of Woonsocket, Nancy Smith of St. Petersburg, FL, and Debra Shakan of Glendale; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond, Robert, Howard and Chester Dunford; and her sister Frances Berry.
