He was born Aug. 5, 1921, in Flanigan, the son of Jacob and Edna Zehr Albers.
His wife, the former Lois E. Cook, whom he married Aug. 31, 1946 in Kankakee, died Sept. 29, 1964.
Mr. Albers had worked in the factory for 43 years at Bradley Roper Corporation.
He served in the Air Force.
Surviving is two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Marilyn Albers of Kankakee and Gary and Teena Albers of Momence; one brother, Clyde Albers of Kankakee; one sister-in-law, Mary Jones of Bradley; and five grandchildren, Kristin and Jennifer Albers and Ryan, Chris and Cody Call.
Mr. Albers was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Marycrest Cub Club, the Loyal Order of the Moose, and a Cubs fan and sports in general.
