Funeral services celebrating the life of Cathy McCartney Boyd will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverend Danny Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Jeffery Stallings, Chris Rosenberg, Mike James, Randy Randall, Ryan Randall and Blake Byrd. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy McCartney, Lonnie McCartney, Dain Boyd and Cameron Byrd.
The family asks that visitation be observed Monday, March 31, 2014, at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and continue Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Cathy, 45, of Pollock, passed from this life on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Many knew Cathy from her position at Paradise Catfish Kitchen as a waitress for over 20 years. She was also a prep cook at the Choctaw Pines Casino, Creola. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and niece that will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aubrey B. McCartney and her aunt, Dorothy Cole.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 18 years, Derek Boyd; son, Jeffery Stallings and wife, Laken; daughters, Diana James and husband, Mike, and Ashley Rosenberg and husband, Chris; mother, Elaine McCartney; grandchildren, Christian, Tyler, Jailah, Connor, Maci and Maddox; brothers, Brian McCartney, Jimmy McCartney and Robert McCartney; sister, Jeannie Barbat; special uncle, Jerry Wilson and numerous other family members and friends.
