Judith Kay Newton, 72, of Abilene, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK.

Born in Paris, Texas on January 12, 1942, Kay was the daughter of Sylvia Juanita (Griffin) and Jewell Knox McMillan. She married William Clinton Newton on April 11, 1964 in Wylie. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Abilene.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband on March 18, 2003; her parents; a brother, Bobbie Leslie McMillan; and two sisters, Edna Juanita Lathem and Ruth Elizabeth McMillan.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Allen Newton of Oklahoma City; daughter, Donna Kay Newton and husband Billy Bishop of Abilene; brother, William Thomas McMillan of Richardson, Texas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with Rev. David Black officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dean Rucker, Joe Wilson, Kendall Badgett, Gary Morris, Russell Higgins and J.C. Gibson.
