Willis H. Boyd Jr., age 86 of Hamilton, Texas passed away on March 25, 2014 in Temple, TX. A graveside service will be held at the Colorado City Cemetery on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2 PM with Rev. Doyle K. Combs officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Willis was born in Loraine, Texas on February 18, 1928 to Willis and Beulah Compton Boyd. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Willis married Dorothy Jean Ware on January 22, 1949 in Colorado City, Texas. Willis was a hardworking, Christian man who retired from the oil field after many years. Willis and Dorothy had many blessed years together, until Dorothy passed away on October 30, 2001.
Those left to cherish Willis' memory are his sister-in-laws, Linda Boyd and Jane Boyd as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean Boyd; his parents; and two brothers, Willard Douglas Boyd and Russell Truman Boyd.
