Mary Ellen was born in Skidmore, MO. She married James Dillon on July 12, 1880. Ellen died, May 2, 1902 when she was only 44 years of age, leaving a large young family. To add to this bereavement, the family dwelling burned and the childen were taken by friends and relatives.
