The son of Andrew Jackson Spencer and Christiana (James) Spencer Mankin he and Mary Eveline Wallis were married December 5, 1869 in Greene County. He was still living at 1816 N. Main Street in Springfield on Nov. 17, 1918 when his wife died. But listed in the 1920 Census of Barton County, Lamar Township, Missouri, p. 151A, line 4, dated 2 Jan., on the farm with his younger brother George Washington Spencer and his wife Nora Alice (Spencer) Spencer.
