Bonnie Jean James Wolf, our "BonBon," of Edmond, Okla., was born August 22, 1949 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla. She left this world for greater things on Sunday, March 23, 2014.
Bonnie believed in random acts of kindness, and fun adventures. She attended Guthrie's Central Elementary School, Pleasant Hill in Oklahoma City and Putnam City Central Jr. High, and was a proud graduate of the Putnam City "Original" High School Class of 1967! She attended Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma School of Banking and Business. Bonnie "bloomed wherever she was planted," in Big Spring, Texas, Nashville, Tenn., Birmingham, Ala., Colorado Springs, Colo., and Guthrie and Edmond, Okla.
Professionally, she was a part of the Oklahoma Department of Highway Safety, three Ditch Witch dealerships and various other companies working in underground construction. She spent many years in interior design, and as a buyer and importer of European antiques for Elks Alley Mercantile in Guthrie and Edmond. Her most recent professional endeavor was as a real estate agent with Century 21 Goodyear Green in Edmond. She was also serving as co-chair of the 2014 Oklahoma City Symphony Decorators' Show House in Founders Tower, in support of music education.
Bonnie loved to travel the world. Some of her favorite locations included Tahiti, France, Italy, Monaco, Costa Rica and the island of Santorini, Greece. She also loved projects, long walks, shopping and watching OFC soccer with her grandkids. Bonnie was a lifelong learner and studied photography, floral design, private investigating, conceal carry, computer applications, oil painting, pottery, bodybuilding, cake decorating, and tap dancing with the Lynda Tarpley Tappers.
Bonnie's loved ones include her daughters, Angie Newman and husband Mack, Monica King and husband Chris, and Nancy Wolf, and, of course, her grandchildren, Olivia and Katie Rose Newman, and Bonnie and Wyatt King, all of Edmond, and all of whom she taught, by her example, to love others unconditionally, and all of her many dear friends.
Honoring Bonnie's wishes, no services of any kind will be held. She will be cremated and cast over one of her favorite travel destinations.
