He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton L. and Pearl W. Taylor, daughter Keta Taylor, son George Wesley Taylor and great-grandson Brody Sluss.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Georgia Lou Warf Taylor, children, Clayton E. (Joe) Taylor, John R Taylor, Vickie Hazlewood and husband Joseph, Mitzi Huff, and Wendy Taylor. Eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. Sisters Patty White, Mary Alice Jackson and husband Lee, Margaret L. Tritle and husband Doug, Barbara E. Walls and husband Eddie, many nieces and nephews and his coffee drinking buddies.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home Chapel on Monday with Rev. Greg Townsend officiating.
Military graveside services will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery.
