Cemetery Records list the burial plot for Charles Cameron, but there is no stone. Thus data for Charles is not reflected on a tomb stone.

His death certificate shows date of birth 8 May 1869 in Tennessee and for death 12 Feb 1939; died in Salt Lake Gen. Hospital. His siblings have their birth in Newport, Cocke Co., Tennessee.

Charles H. "Charlie" Cameron and Alice Barnett were married on 12 Feb 1890 in Bates Co., Missouri. Alice Barnett's parents are unknown, but she may be related to George McKinley Barnett and Missouri Emmaline Barnett, since it appears George gave permission for her to marry. Based on marriage data, Alice was born after 1871 probably in Missouri.

Individual Note: Not very long after their son, Alexander "Alec" was born March 12, 1891, Alec's mother took off with another man. Alice and Charles' marriage record shows "Alice Barnett of Nyhart, County of Bates and State of Mo, who is not the age of eighteen years, Geo. Barnett gave his consent." Normally it was a father who witnessed or verified that she was old enough, but there is no indication that this was or was not her father. Nyhart is a small town in New Home Township, Bates Co. A 1884 Bates County Directory lists "Barnett, G.M.; born MO in 1844; P.O. address Butler, Occupation Farmer, wife & maiden name M.E. Barnett; born KY in 1851." Other records confirm this is George and Missouri Barnett--George having married a cousin, but there is no indication they had a daughter named Alice nor a daughter to be of an age comparable to Alice.

Charles H. Cameron and Alice Barnett had the following child: i. Alexander "Alec" Cameron, born 12 Mar 1891, Amoret, Bates Co., Missouri; married Elizabeth Viola Walters, 7 Aug 1912, Bates Co., Missouri; died 10 May 1942, Denver, Denver Co., Colorado.

Charles H. "Charlie" Cameron and Laura Eskew were married on 9 Sep 1927 in Farmington, Davis Co., Utah. They appeared in the census in 1930 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah. Laura Eskew, daughter of William Jasper Eskew and Martha Ann Shirley, was born on 3 Aug 1882 in Carnsville, Franklin Co., Georgia. She died on 19 Sep 1972 at the age of 90 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah. Laura was buried at Salt Lake City Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah.

Charles Cameron died from an abcess of left Parotid gland on 12 Feb 1939 at the age of 69 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah. Charlie was buried on 15 Feb 1939 at Murray City Cemetery in Salt Lake (Murray City), Salt Lake Co., Utah (no tombstone).
