DEATH TAKES D. F. RALSTON AFTER LONG ILLNESS
David Finis Ralston passed away Wednesday morning at his home following a lingering illness.
He was born in Uniontown, Kansas, September 6, 1868. He came to Johnstown with his wife in 1908, and has made his home here since that time. Mr. Ralston was employed at the local condensery for a number of years and was then employed by the Great Western Sugar company as pump man until his health failed two years ago.
He joined the Presbyterian church at the age of 18 and since coming to Johnstown has been a devoted member of the local Methodist church.
He has been a member of the A.O.U.W. lodge in Fort Scott, Kansas, for the past 47 years. He was a very popular man of Johnstown and his many friends are grieved by his death.
He is survived by his widow, Susie Ralston, two daughters, Mrs. Hilton (Opal) Stratton of Boulder and Mrs. Rutherford (Velma) Parrish of Johnstown and one son, Dr. Lawrence Ralston of Salida, Colorado; six sisters, Mrs. D.P. Quick, Mrs. Rhoda Shubert and Mrs. John Kissler all of Redfield, Kansas; Mrs. H.A. Bryant of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Frank Kough of Neodesha, Kansas, and Mrs. Chester Green of Branson, Kansas, five grandchildren, Mrs. Harold Springer of Canada, Arizona; Miss Bernice Ralston of Salida, Peggy Sue and David Stratton of Boulder, and Robert Parish of Johnstown, and one great grandson, Harold Jay Springer of Ganado, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Methodist church. Interment will be held at Loveland.
Pallbearers: Orvil Rogers, C.H. Criswell, F.L. Beeten, Ray Parish, Ed Sappington and E.L. Hill
