城戸 俊三
Olympic Equestrian and Japanese Army Officer. Shunzo Kido competed in 1928 XIXth Olympiad in Amsterdam and the XXth Olympiad in Los Angeles in 1932. At Los Angeles he was riding Kyu Gun and leading the steeplechase event. He felt Kyu Gun faltering at the last jump. Rather than push his horse to win the steeplechase, he stopped and lost the Gold. For saving Kyu Gun, Kido was honored by the Riverside Humane Society with a bronze plaque on the Friendship Bridge on Mount Rubidoux in Riverside, California, at a 1934 unveiling event attended by H.I.H. Prince Tsunenori Kaya.
