Charlene Lewis Bishop

January 26, 1931 March 22, 2014

Charlene Lewis Bishop, 83, passed away March 22, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born to Jesse and Lenora Lewis on January 26, 1931 and raised in Garland, Utah. They later moved to Ogden where she graduated from Ogden High School.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She married Howard Bishop on December 3, 1949. They spent many years doing what they loved; dancing, camping and hunting.

She was an amazing cook and loved cooking for her family. She also loved to garden and was a pro at canning. Her strawberry jam and hot sauce were her family's favorites.

She retired from IRS where she earned many achievement awards, but her biggest achievement was her children, grandchildren and great-grand children. She loved spending time with them and them with her.

She is survived by her two sons; Steven (Terri) Bishop of Roy, Darrell (Roslyn) Bishop of Farr West; one daughter, Diana (Larry) Ruple, West Haven; five grandsons; Zeke (Ashley) Bishop, Josh (Cody) Ruple, Matt (Teri) Ruple, Chad Bishop, Travis (Kylee) Bishop; a special granddaughter, Crystal Jackson; and eight great-grandchildren; Shaylee, Bailey, Adrian, Aiden, Kailey, Madisyn, Cash and Addison; two brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law Bob Bishop, Murl and Marion Bishop and Norma Bishop. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, too many to name, but she loved them all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her parents and all of her ten siblings, six brothers and four sisters and all of their spouses.
