Marvin Ernest Steele, 75, of Chesapeake, VA passed away on February 23, 2014. A native of Roanoke, VA he was the son of the late Jessee H. Steele and Edna McClarn Steele. He was also predeceased by his sister, Joyce Addie Stroud and brothers, Douglas Eugene Steele and Raymond O. Steele. Marvin served in the U. S. Navy for eight years and was stationed on the USS Intrepid during the Cuban Crisis. He was a Nuclear Inspector for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and former owner of Décor Plastics and Mirror Company. Marvin was an avid pool player, NASCAR fan and member of Warrick Moose Lodge 1711.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sherilyn Lee Orebaugh Steele; daughter, Angela Gail Steele; sons, Jason Scott Steele and James Patrick Steele; a granddaughter, Amorita Elizabeth Cardona and a great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, with Chaplain Charles A. Rowland officiating. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
