Services for Mrs. Esther Nelson, 63, R. R. 2 Kelley Rd., who died Friday in Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 2, in Burpee-Wood funeral home, 420 N. Main St.

The Rev. Elmer Whyte, pastor of Winnebago Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Winnebago cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 o'clock Sunday night.

Mrs. Nelson, longtime Rockford area resident, was born in Winnebago Oct. 20, 1896, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Burdick. She lived on Kelley Rd., 32 years. On Dec. 24, 1919, she was married to William Nelson in Rockford.

Survivors are her husband; two sons, William, Jr. at home, and Jack Eugene, Rockford; five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Robbins, Mrs. Lois Kite and Mrs. Barbara Hinson, all of Rockford, Mrs. Darlene Hazzard, Pecatonica, and Mrs. Shirley Gastel, Loves Park; a sister, Mrs. Alma Wolfe, Rockford; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
