STATE ROAD, NC ~ Mrs. Jennifer Leigh Slate Shaw, age 40, of State Road, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her home.
She was born October 11, 1973 in Surry County, NC to Opal Edwards Slate and the late Garry Phillip Slate.
Mrs. Shaw worked as a billing specialist at E-Clinical Works Inc. and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Aspen and Addison Shaw of the home; son, Jaxon Gartrell of the home; loving companion, Jerry "Beep" Gartrell of the home; mother, Opal Leigh Edwards Slate of Mount Airy, NC; sister & brother-in-law, Amanda & Wayne Tate of Mount Airy, NC and Aspen & Addison's dad, Steve Shaw of State Road, NC.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by a daughter, Savana Leigh Shaw and grandparents, Ernest & Maggie Calahan Slate and Claude & Ernestine Edwards.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2 p.m. At Howell Funeral Chapel of Mount Airy conducted by Rev. Tim Burton & Rev. Darren Slate with interment to follow in the Midkiff Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Howell Funeral Service of Mount Airy.
