Mrs. Barbara Ann Daniel Goodson, age 89 of Franklin, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Crossroads Hospice in Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Goodson were conducted Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. from the Franklin United Methodist Church with the Reverends Brett Mathews, Neal Awbrey, and Tom Lipham officiating.

Bess and Brian Clements offered loving tributes to their mother and grandmother. Special music was provided by Mrs. Goodson's daughter, Ann Frear, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Goodson, and friend, Rev. Tom Lipham.

Honorary pallbearers were Talmadge Davis, and Lee Boone. Those serving as pallbearers were Watson Adams, Ray Hand, Al Awbrey, Donald Glover, Frank Crook, and Ed Friend. The interment followed in the Franklin City Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodson was born in Heard County, Georgia on December 22, 1921, the daughter of the late George Bernard Daniel and Ada Corine Adams Daniel. She was a graduate of the Heard County School Systems where she met and married the love of her life, the late William Tuscan "W. T." Goodson, Jr.

While Mr. W. T. was busy with his family running Goodson Brothers Store, she was busy raising their three children. She was known as a wonderful cook and especially delighted her family and friends with her wonderful fried pies.

Her positive approach to living gave her children the drive and ambition to become caring and successful adults. Outside of her family and friends her church, Franklin United Methodist was one of her great loves.

She spent hours in her yard every day, and used the beautiful flowers she grew as a ministry for the church, and community. Even if it was not her Sunday to prepare flowers, many times her beautiful flower arrangements were the ones gracing the pulpit area.

Many neighbors benefitted from the joy that her creations of nature brought. "Mrs. Barbara Ann" always presented herself as a straight forward, southern lady who had a ready smile that could light any room. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann (Charlie) Frear of Franklin, GA. and Leila Bess Clements of Marietta, GA.; one son William Tuscan (Carolyn) Goodson, III. of Gray, GA.; one sister Mary Savelis of Long Island, NY.; one brother, Frank Daniel of Birmingham, AL.; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Those that wish may make donations to Mrs. Barbara Ann's beloved church, Franklin United Methodist, 314 Main Street, Franklin, Georgia 30217.
