Joseph B. Blevins, 79, of Galt died Sept. 1 in a Lodi hospital following an extended illness. He was born Jan. 18, 1915 in North Carolina. He moved to California in 1977 and settled in Galt in 1978. He was employed on the production line for General Motors for 25 years. Mr. Blevins was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Blevins is survived by his wife, Vera Blevins of Galt; two daughters, Sandra L. Blevins of Lodi and Joan Butler of Texas; one grandchild; and brothers and sisters. The private memorial service will be held Friday at Ben Salas Funeral Home with Pastor Eugene Wilburn of Big Valley Bible Church in Lodi officiating.
