On Nov. 1, 2005, our Lord and Savior called home Dean A. Patterson, 67. He was born in Greensboro, N.C., and was retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Sarah B. Patterson; a son, Gregory Dean Patterson and his wife Kathleen; a daughter, Kimberly Patterson Holt and her husband Ted, all of Virginia Beach; and five grandsons, Brandon Patterson, Jordan Patterson, Logan Patterson, Ryan Holt and Connor Holt; a brother, Troy Patterson of North Carolina; and a sister, Dora Ruth Nabors of Florida. A funeral will be held Friday at 9:45 a.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 4889 Princess Anne Road, with the Rev. Aubrey Maye officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 106:1.
