Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of Sybil Bannister McCoy of Williamston and the late Oscar Joseph McCoy. She was employed by Gerber Childrenswear and was a member of Williamston Wesleyan Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her fiance, Leonard Hammond of the home; a daughter, Christy Davenport of the home; sisters, Maudie Elizabeth Worley of Augusta, Ga., and Sylvia Ann Martin of Williamston; and a brother, Roger Dale McCoy of Lake Wylie.
She was predeceased by a brother, Billy McCoy.
Service: 2 p.m. today at Gray Mortuary Chapel, Pelzer, officiated by the Rev. Jack Couch. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
