The funeral for Daniel Settle, age 61, of Eufaula, formerly of Enid, will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with Pastor Lester Lowry officiating. Burial will follow in the Carmen Cemetery.

Danny was born to Carl and Carol (White) Settle on November 20, 1952, in Hugoton, Kansas, and passed from this life on Monday, March 24, 2014, in Eufaula.

Danny was raised in the Carmen area and graduated from Carmen-Dacoma High School in 1971. Danny attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva.

Danny's career in the oilfield spanned every facet in the field. He was everything from a roughneck to an off-shore drilling engineer. Danny was an avid fisherman. He loved to draw, paint, and was very creative with woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Nina of the home; daughter Meagan Raddatz and husband Nate of Edmond; grandson Leo; mother Carol Settle of Enid; two brothers, Larry Settle and wife Debbie of Ponca City, and Troy Settle and wife Tessa of Edmond; two sisters, Becky Guffy and husband Jonny of Byron, and Betsy Hormel and husband Troy of Enid; sister-in-law, Debbie Settle of Mustang; numerous nieces and nephews.

Danny is preceded in death by his father Carl Settle and brother Paul Settle.
