Spring Grove - Darlene M. Shue, daughter of Mrs. Helen Shue, 191 South Water street (sic), and the late Charles Shue, became the bride of Charles N. Lease, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lease, Brodbeck RD 1, on Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran church, Manchester, Md.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the pastor, Rev. Richard S. Shanabrook.

The bride wore a street-length dress of light blue nylon lace over a full taffeta skirt, with matching blue accessories. She carried a white Bible with yellow rose buds.

Mrs. Oscar Kraft, this place, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. She was attired in a street-length dress of beige lace over taffeta, with blue accessories. She carried a cascade of pink rose buds and carnations.

The bride's mother wore a navy blue dress with navy accessories, and the bridegroom's mother chose a black print dress with black accessories. They both wore corsages of red rose buds.

Oscar Kraft, brother-in-law of the bride, was the best man.

About 75 guests attended the reception held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Utz, brother-in-law and sister of the bride.

After a wedding trip to Atlantic City, N. J. and New York city, the newlyweds are residing at 187 South Water street (sic). They are employes (sic) of P. H. Glatfelter company, this place.

Darlene M. 'Dolly' Shue Chronister of Gettysburg died the morning of Aug. 24 at her residence. She was 63.

Mrs. Chronister retired from Hanover Direct after 27 years as a payroll supervisor.

She was a member of Sherwood Chapel, Kissimmee, Fla.

Born in Spring Grove April 22, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Kopp Shue.

She leaves her husband, Charles C. Chronister; a sister, Geraldine Kraft of Spring Grove; and nieces and nephews.

Viewing is from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. The service is at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Beth Folkemer officiating.

Burial will be in Dillsburg Cemetery.
