Jennifer L. "Jenn" Rogers, 37, of L. Paxton Twp., passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her residence after a long and courageous battle with Cervical Cancer. Born March 10, 1977 in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of Esther (Molina) Rogers and the late Arthur B. Rogers Jennifer graduated from York College with a degree in Criminal Justice and was employed by the Pennsylvania State Police as a Legal Assistant II within the Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS Unit). Prior to her illness she enjoyed an active social life, attending concerts, traveling, reading, playing computer games, baking and spending time with family and friends. Those who were fortunate enough to know Jennifer recognized her love for all animals, especially her dog Venture. She rescued and adopted her loving and loyal dog from a shelter in Washington DC. And as often happens, once a strong bond is built between a dog and its owner, we see who was truly rescued. In addition to her mother she is survived by her sister, Valerie A. Weary and husband Harold J. Weary Jr. of Newville; a nephew, Jesse F. Weary of Newville; her maternal grandparents, Francisco and Josephine Molina of Middletown; 4 aunts, Linda Molina of Harrisburg, Judy King, Diane Richardson and Paulette Rogers, all of West Virginia; and 3 uncles, Nicholas Molina and John Molina, both of Middletown and William R. Rogers of Tennessee.
