Helen Thomas Booton, 88, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Helen was the widow of Freelon H. Booton, Jr. She was born October 13, 1925, in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late, Clarence Winfrey. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded by a sister, Mildred Spurrier.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy & Rick Hensley of Circleville, OH; Peggy and Bruce Peters of Barboursville, WV; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Pennypacker of Huntington, WV; sister-in law, Barbara B. Catrow of Martinsburg, WV; two grandchildren, Shannon Hensley and Holly Smith; two step-grandchildren, Greg and Shawn Peters; three great-grandchildren, Waylon, Wyatt Roese and Michael Thomas Smith; one step-granddaughter, Hailee Smith and several nieces and nephews. Special friend, Jenny Martin.

She was a retired employee of C&P Telephone Company.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Friday February 7, 2014 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary , Barboursville, WV. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
