Anita Louise Mason, 73 of Pittsburg died at 12:38 a.m. Saturday March 22, 2014 at her home in Pittsburg.She was born May 9, 1940 in McCune, KS the daughter of Tom and Juanita (Mishler) Green. She was a lifetime resident of the Southeast Kansas area, and was a 1958 graduate of McCune High School.Anita married Ralph O. Mason on May 18, 1958 in McCune, KS; he preceded her in death on December 6, 2009.She worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Hough for several years, worked as a receptionist/secretary for Dr. Bourgault and worked in the kitchen for the Pittsburg Child Care Center.Anita was of the Baptist faith, she attended Community Baptist Church. She was a member of the Pittsburg Genealogical Society, enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and collecting arrowheads. She loved all animals especially her cats and dog.Survivors include four daughters-Rhonda Pool and husband Mark of Pittsburg, Lisa Tippins and husband Cary of Kansas City, MO, Lynne Mason-Banderet and husband Jon of Joplin, MO, Sue Bautista-Beltrani of Florida; four Grandchildren Ryder Mason, Rachelle Tippins, Randi Stevens Ashley Mason and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother Jackie Eugene Green and a grandson Mason Pool.Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday March 26, 2014 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Pastor Cobey Clarkson officiating.
