Patricia Ann Metzler, 83, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 14, 1930, at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to the late Mack and Pansy Taylor Talbot.

Mrs. Metzler received her bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas and also attended The University of Mississippi. She worked in the credit life department for Langford Funeral Home for a few years. She also was the secretary and programmer for KNEA Radio station. She and her husband owned and operated Chrysler and Cadillac dealerships for many years. She enjoyed volunteering with the Salvation Army board and Women's Auxiliary. She was a member of the Junior Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bridge, golf and traveling all over the world.

She is survived by her husband, Charles W. "Bookie" Metzler Jr.; a niece and her husband, Debbie and Kenny Seals; a nephew, James Rinehart; two great-nephews and their wives, Robert and Rosana Seals and Kolby and Tamara Seals, all of Lawton, Okla.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cherrie Rinehart.

A memorial service to celebrate her life was held in First United Methodist Church Chapel under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
