Homer D. Elswick, 87, of Mammoth, formerly of Ridgewood, died Nov. 23, 1991, at Montgomery General Hospital, after a short illness. He was native of Mammoth, a retired coal miner from Lackey Coal Co., an Army veteran, a Protestant and member of the Moose, VFW and UMW. Surviving: companion, Zeltia Elswick; five sons; four daughters; sisters, Eva Martin and Macel Raynes, both of Belle, Ollie Maynard of Mammoth; 23 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Married Second: Virginia L. Riley on 17 Apr 1956 in Nicholas County, WV. Virginia was born April 21, 1910, in Richwood, West Virginia. She was a daughter of Harry Vincent and Rebecca Elizabeth Hymes Riley. Virginia died 14 May 2001 in Arcadia, Florida.
