Faye Marie Ford, 81, of Montgomery City, MO, formerly of Middletown, MO, died at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, April 09, 2014, at the New Florence Nursing and Care Center in New Florence, MO. Faye Marie Ford was born February 10, 1933, in Middletown, MO, to Hubert Lee Gibson and Kathryn Elisabeth Oden Gibson. She attended the Middletown School in Middletown, MO. Faye married William E. "Bill" Ford on March 25, 1967 in Wellsville, MO. Mr. Ford preceded her in death on January 17, 1997. Mrs. Ford worked many years in factory work and restaurant work. She was a member of the Middletown United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, working puzzles, and embroidery work. She loved animals, especially Yorkies, as she had owned two herself. Mrs. Ford lived in Middletown all her life, but when her health started to deteriorate she moved to Montgomery City to be with her son. She enjoyed visiting with her family and many friends. Mrs. Ford is survived by three sons and one daughter: Dennis Jones and wife, Connie, of Columbia, MO; Michael "Craig" Ford and wife, Amy; and Ronnie Ford, all of Montgomery City, MO; and Barbara Ford of South Carolina. Also surviving are several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. "Bill" Ford; two brothers: an infant brother and Darrell Gibson; and two sisters: Rosalee Christian and Nadine Christian. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Gary Ellul officiated and interment was in the Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, MO. Visitation was held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
