Willie C A. (Bill) Grinke, 78, was associated with the automobile business here for 52 years, died Friday, June 28, 1974, at 1:15 p.m., in the Hill Country Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m., in Beckmann Funeral Chapel, with the Rev G Wolf, associate pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church officiating in the absence of the Rev. Kermit Menking, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, of which Grinke was a long-time member. Grinke was born on January 14,1896, in Germany, the son of Ferdinand Grinke and Mathilda Beulow Grinke. He married Olga Burrer on Nov. 3, 1920, in rites performed in Zion Lutheran Church by the Rev. Bra cher. Grinke entered the automotive business in 1918 when he became associated with Joseph Bros., as a mechanic in their Dodge dealership. He was associated with the firm until they sold their dealership and then became affiliated with the Standard Service Company, where he was in charge of their parts department until he retired in 1970. . . In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Willie Grinke, Fredericksburg; and Walton Grinke, Puerto Rico; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Willie Grinke and Mrs. Walton Grinke; and three grandchildren, Rim Grinke, Fredericksburg; and Julia and Trade Grinke, of Puerto Rico. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Annie Bressler, Burnet; and a brother, Eddie Grinke, Fredericksburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Otto Grinke; and a sister who died in infancy.
