Opal was a resident of DeWitt since 1996. She was an avid bingo, euchre and card player. Opal loved to read, go to the casino and was a former gardener.
Opal was preceded in death by her son, Daniel, May of 2006 and daughter, Kathy, October 2013.
She is survived by daughters Cheryl (Tom) Richards and Linda (Al) Borrego; son, Charles (Robin) Smith; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grand children; 3 great great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Barbara Smith; son-in-law, Dan Hosford; sisters; Nina Smith and Mary Baker; several nieces and nephews, as well as her cat, Mittens.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing with Rev Richard Cole officiating.
