COUNTY WOMAN
PASSES SATURDAY AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS
Funeral services were held Monday, February 28, 1955 at the home at
Boons Camp for Mrs. Tabitha (Babe) Meek, 80 who died at her home
Saturday, February 26, 1955 afternoon following an illness of a day.
Born April 9, 1874, she was the daughter of Shadie and Hettie Daniel
Ward. She was a member of the United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death in January 1951 by her husband, Lathora
Meek.
Surviving are five sons, Jim Meek, Boons camp, Arbie Meek, Dayton,
Ohio, Elbert Meek, city, Shadie Meek, Tomahawk, Grover Meek,
Springfield, Ohio, three daughters, Mrs. Emma Walters and Mrs. Addie Boyd, both of Williamsport, and Alma Meek, Boons Camp.
Burial was made in the family cemetery at Boons Camp under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
