John Peter Steinbock. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, in St. John Fisher Catholic Church for John Peter Steinbock, who died Dec. 21 at age 82.
Mr. Steinbock was born May 28, 1914, in Portland and raised in Yakima.
He married Corinne Spurgeon in 1942. He was a founding member of the church.
Surviving are his wife; son, Nicholas of Tualatin; daughters, Mary L. Engert of Portland, Joyce of Tualatin and Jan Conner of Gresham; brother, Tony of Klamath Falls; and four grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to American Cancer Society or the church.
